What is quality?

Quality is what every customer expects. The term is derived from the Latin word "qualitas" meaning "of what kind or sort". It is achieved when the characteristics of a product (as-is status) meet or exceed the customers' requirements (to-be status).

How can quality be measured?

Quality standards - for instance EN ISO 9001 - describe quality as: "Degree to which a set of inherent characteristics of a product, system or process fulfils requirements of customers and other interested parties."

SLS has met the high requirements and is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001: 2008 .

What does quality mean to SLS?

Quality plays an important role within SLS. It starts with raw materials for production: they come from leading suppliers and are checked regularly before being processed.

In our production the constant inspection is a major issue, too. Most accurate moulds with extremely fine tolerances, the best colours and optimal materials: profiles from SLS exceed the quality demands.

Our customers and their products are as individual as the marking of the profiles. They are clearly marked with the following details: manufacturer, material, production date, shift, article description, company name, inspection number and/or seal of testing and quality.
